Join us for a night of food, beer and chats to launch our new collab beer, Wattleseed Stout—and because we wanted a reason to throw a party!
When three food-loving, beer-drinking people come together, it’s only a matter of time before they decide to make something delicious; and that’s exactly what happened when Stomping Ground, Blackhearts & Sparrows, and Mabu Mabu met. The result? We decided to make a beer. A beer that gives us a reason to see a little more of each other, to have something to look forward to in the cooler months, and celebrates the flavours and places we love. And so, our Wattleseed Stout was born.
Join us for the beer’s official launch at our place, Perry’s: A Refreshment Club, on Smith Street this July. We’ll be pouring an all Stomping Ground tap list, with four of the evening’s beers coming with a food pairing designed by Mabu Mabu owner and executive chef, Nornie Bero. Originally from Mer Island in the Torres Strait, Nornie has been a professional chef for over 20 years, and is on a mission to put First Nations ingredients in kitchens across Australia—we’re pretty chuffed to welcome her to Perry’s for one night only.
Pull up a chair, grab something to eat, and have a chat over a beer or two.
Ticket price includes entry and a can of Wattleseed Stout and a selection of small plates by Mabu Mabu. Additional drinks available to purchase.
