Join us for a long, lazy afternoon of heartwarming plates, created by rising local star, George Wintle. His accolades would be impressive for any chef, let alone one still in his early twenties. Most recently, you may have tasted his food as Sous-Chef at a verrry popular Melbourne restaurant; recognise his name as a Good Food Young Chef of the Year finalist; or be familiar with his social initiative, Eat The Issue, which aims to change the stigma around mental health in hospitality. And now, we're lucky enough to host him at our Smith Street home, Perry's - A Refreshment Club.
We'll spend the afternoon sharing food, wine and stories over four courses of Sicilian inspired plates, a nod to George's Nonna, alongside paired wines chosen by us! You can expect classics like Focaccia and all the trimmings, Tortellini en Brodo, Porchetta, and of course, Tiramisu.
A portion of the event's proceeds will go towards Eat The Issue; you can find out more about their work in the industry, and how you can help via their Instagram.
We're thrilled to partner with George for our first long lunch at Perry's - A Refreshment Club, simply serving the food we love to eat. Expect to leave with your bellies full, and a little siesta well in order.
